Hi, Thats a very good question you have asked. They are both very good dryers, and are both professional, so offer great heat, speed and drying times. They are Babyliss Pro's 2 best dryers without a doubt. Your dead right though, they are both a good choice. I would personally choose the GT Ionic as is slightly more powerful & is slightly more robust, altough is just slightly heavier than the powerlite. I hope this helps? Kind Regards

Hi, The diffuser you mention does fit the powerlite hairdryer, although the Babyliss Ionic diffuser BABDF06 fits a little better in my opiniun.
